Can I return my new phone for a different colour


I have just recieved a new iPhone 14 but mistakenly ordered it in black but I wanted blue. Do I have to cancel my contract or can the phone be swapped. I also wanted to create an account but when i try to register, i get a message saying a pin has been sent to my new ID mobile number. I can’t get this as I don’t want to activate my new phone that I want to return. Please help

You would have to return everything and cancel the lot. Then, order again and, providing you pass a second credit check, your new handset and SIM will be sent to you. You will receive a final bill for the current device and SIM covering the period from dispatch right up until it’s cancelled as they are sent activated.

To switch the colour of the device we would as @WelshPaul suggests need to cancel and return the current plan, then you’d be able to place a new order, however this would be subject to another credit check.
