Can I use my iD SIM in a router?

Hi can i use my newly bought unlimited sim (mins txt data) in my mobile router for data only and not put it in a phone, if so how do i set it up,, thanks

Hey @micksc21

Whilst not officially supported, I have seen many users do this.

To sign up for an iD account you’ll need to put the SIM into a phone first to receive the text but once this is done, you’ll have logins and won’t need to do this again.

As for setup, it should be plug and play, but in some cases, you need to edit the APN settings as per: 

 

This can often be found in the router manual for how to access these.
