Hi,

I switched my number from EE to a sim only with ID. All went smoothly. I got my eSim but seem to be unable to add it as the second Sim to my new Samsung A15 (which is also with ID)

When I am scanning the QR Code, I am getting an option to add it to my watch? But I do not have a Samsung Watch.

I have no idea, if I am simply to thick. But Is there an option to get a “normal” Sim instead of an eSim?

Hi @Kingsizefairy,

Welcome to the Community!

We don’t offer eSIMs for accessories at the moment.

If the eSIM is already on the handset the SIM should be working as normal.

great. when I looked up if the mobile was ready for eSim it says yes, and now you are saying no? How do I get a normal Sim now? This will be my second week with no phone working.

I inserted the normal Sim (the paid monthly one) and cannot call, receive calls or text! Unbelievable!!

@Kingsizefairy -

Sounds like your A15 is getting confused trying to add eSIM to a watch that doesn’t exist. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap ‘Connections’.
  3. Tap ‘SIM card manager’.
  4. Tap ‘Add mobile plan’.
  5. Tap ‘Scan QR code from service provider’.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps.

Thanks.

been there, bought the t-shirt.

I have cancelled and will leave ID, sick of all this malarkey and the wasted time

Perhaps it’s time for SMARTY, and LESS malarkey, @Kingsizefairy

Sorry to hear this @Kingsizefairy - best of luck with your new provider. I don’t believe Smarty offer eSIM though. Thanks.
