connection nightmare


I've not been overly impressed with ID mobile but I've persevered with it, but lately I'm having all sorts of connection issues. 

I have a Pixel 8 Pro but struggling with internet and connecting phone calls (4g and 5g). Also some calls (in and outgoing, phone and Bluetooth) the other person can't hear me halfway through a conversation. 

It's driving me mad as I need my phone for work.

I have reset my network connection but it's still happening.

Can anyone help?

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing.

Have you checked the coverage and network status checker?

I would advise testing the SIM in a different handset, however it does sound like it could be a faulty handset.

I moved from ee (where i had no connection problems just a financial move) to id mobile, joined around 3-4 months ago & have a lit of reception problems either where I can't hear the caller or vice versa although my new contract is with id it's through ee so shouldn't be any different!

Frustrating is putting it mildly!

Sorry to hear this, EE is a completely different network that use a different signal network to us, so experience would be different.

 

Please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you have issues?

 

How long have you had issues?

I'm having the same issues with a pixel 8 pro too. Although I've put my SIM in other handsets and the issue has persisted even though I have good signal reception. E.g with 3/4 or even 4/4 bars of 4G in my small town, speedtests usually yield less than 5mbps download and less than 1mbps upload, and a lot of the time upload is straight up 0 and speed tests tine out. And yesterday when in another town I was near a mast and had full 4G signal and 3/4 bars of 5G, and I did several tests and at best got 33mbps download (not bad for 4g but bad for 5g, especially when there's claim to be the fastest 5g, and ID mobile piggybacks on three's masts) and 0.87mbps upload, or 0 upload. 

 

Been having an issue for several weeks where I can hear others on calls but they can't hear me at all or I'm garbled and poor quality even with great reception. And a lot of people, including a lot of pixels, seem to have been experiencing it too after looking on here. Perhaps android has a bug and an update will fix it, but the poor speeds has been happening for several months.
