ESIM, new phone, old network still showing, do i need to put the id mobile sim in?

Hello,

so i got my new phone from carphone wearhouse. when setting up the new iphone it asked if i wanted to transfer the sim from my old phone which is on the vodaphone netowork. i pressed transfer as i wanted to keep my number.

 

the network on my new phone displays as vodaphone, i am confused as this contract has ended yet im still able to make calls text and use my data?

 

do i need to put the ID mobile sim into my new phone and request the pac code form vodaphone ? im so confused. :/ thanks!

    Unfortunately ​@Monae Paris, iD Mobile do not support SIM transfers from one phone to another phone. 

    To switch the number to want to keep from Vodafone to iD Mobile, ask Vodafone for a PAC, then give this to iD Mobile.

    thankyoi! im confused as to why my vodaphone sim is still working?

     

    so do i need to 1: request pac phone fro vodaphone?

    2: put the id mobile sim into my phone

    3: how do i give id mobile the pac code? thankyou

    Thanks for getting in touch. 

     

    Yes, that’s correct. You will need a PAC from Vodafone in order to bring the number across. 

    Once you have the PAC, you can then submit it here.
