FIX FOR SLOW SPEED

like many since joining ID I have been plagued  with slow speed and I mean SLOW (1MPBS) and poor signal. 

 

I found that the SIM had configured the PRIVATE DNS  to be Cloudfare however this is a pathetic DNS, and a Will slow Your network down. So here is a fix

 

Go to... Settings, Network and Internet.

Then .. set PRIVATE DNS to Off

Then.. reboot

 

Voila !

    Or…

    Replace with a decent DNS such as

    dns.adguard-dns.com

    dns.google.com

     

    Etc.

    Yes @Kash  I've never heard of seen any support staff mention this, and it explains slow speed (WiFi and cellular) AND poor 4G/5G signal. It's something that should be in a knowledge base with you guys 🤟
