I am going to Turkey next month and I want to prevent my phone from roaming. I don’t want to be charged for incoming calls or texts. How do I prevent this?
if I disable roaming in my account in the ID mobile app will it prevent my phone latching onto a local Turkish airtime carrier when I’m there?
I want to use only hotel WiFi and data-only calls eg WhatsApp audio or Messenger audio

Just set the bill cap for your iD account to £0
Doing this will prevent any out-of-plan charges while roaming in Turkey.
Text messages are free to receive when you’re roaming.
