How long do you wait for a Switch to your old number

I contacted my old provider on Saturday for a PAC code not a problem, received it and filled on the online form, was notified the switch would happen the following Monday, however this hasn't happened. Why is it taking longer? The inconvenience has limited what I can & cannot do as a lot of information & all my contacts are associated with my old number. Why give a date if that isn't the case!

If you submitted your PAC at the weekend, the earliest day for transferring the number you want to keep would be Tuesday @Jill Adams.

Thanks for the reply what would be the latest as each day is causing more inconvenience as my text reply told me 16th Oct.
