Issues while porting


I am not sure, what is the issue actually, i want to port from smarty to id. I requested yesterday with pac, and they told me it will port today (15/05/24), and after successfully porting i will get a sms confirmation.

 

from this morning the smarty sim has no network.

However in the ID sim it is still the number that came with the sim, it has not ported with my old number.

And till now I haven’t got any confirmation about porting complete. How long does it take to port?

its already been more then 4 hour since the smarty sim doesnt have any network.

Number transfers can take between 8am and 10pm on the date they’re scheduled, how are you getting on?

Mobile number switching in the UK doesn’t happen immediately, @Layerstackler

When I switched to iD, my old provider’s SIM stopped working mid-morning, and my number wasn’t available to use with my iD SIM until mid-afternoon. 

Unfortunately, it can take several hours or longer.
The iD guidance is switching can happen anytime between 10am - 6pm, on your chosen date.

I took out a new mobile contract on Saturday via Carphone warehouse. Gave them the PAC code and the number transfer was suppose to be yesterday 19th August. It has not been done. My old number is now cancelled. When will this be sorted as I am expecting the next important phone calls on my old number.
