Hello again Hideout crew.
In this topic here I would like to say something more about myself and encourage you all to do the same. I will start first to break the ice :)
My real name is unpronounceable in UK so I will stick to my nickname which come from Hikari no Kobushi which means Fist of Light and that's how I created it using Google translate.
Originally I come from Poland, I came to UK ten years ago and decided to stay. Currently I am working in a shop that is dealing with second hand electronics but I worked for network provider and shop with mobile phone accessories back in Poland as well. In the past I have applied to work in Carphonewarehouse and Currys like 15 times but never got an interview invitation but fortunately I could get the job in the area that I like anyway :)
I live in Scotland where recently bought a house together with my fiancee.
My interest in mobile technology started with Sony Ericsson P1i that was gifted to me by my brother. Since then I wanted to know and own it all. Then Android came to the pictures and many many different phones to try. Currently I own Xperia XZ1 Compact and Honor Play but I am hoping to use my upgrade eligibility to get Xperia XZ4 or XZ4 Compact if it will be released.
My other hobbies are Anime, Martial Arts, History and DIY :)
Anything else that you would like to know about me just ask and I won't hesitate to answer :)
Kind regards everyone 🙂

Hey there Hikari,
Really great to see you actively using this new hideout! I'm Ed, the Community Manager for iD. I've been with the company for 18 months, with 6 months specifically focusing on the community.
I've been looking at ways to not only improve the number of people utilising the community, but also improving the experience of those users; whether it be their first time to the site, or those that are much more familiar with it.
In terms of mobiles, unfortunately I'm that customer who dislikes change! Been with iPhone since the very beginning, and don't see that changing any time soon.
Keep up the good work,
Thanks!

Sorry to hear you weren't able to join the Dixons Carphone group but glad you were able to find a job you liked anyway.
I myself have been with the Team at iD for around 2+ years now. Along with other colleagues here like Ryan, Kevin, Jade & Phil, we manage the Social Media pages also!
I live in Scotland where recently bought a house together with my fiancee.
Happy to hear man, congratulations 🙂 The start of a new beginning I hope!

Unlike Ed, I'm the opposite. The only Apple product I've owned is the iPod (4th gen). I've had various Nokia phones, my last being the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. After that, I've joined the Android bandwagon and never looked back. From Samsung phones, all the way to OnePlus devices and now I'm on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro (which might I say, I absolutely love).
I could never ever consider switching to Apple to be honest! I know all the fanboys will be happy over each new recycled iPhone but the power of Android far surpasses Apple phones!
I consider myself tech-savvy so I'd say I like to be able to make the most out of my phone. Though ultimately, I prefer to do everything on a desktop PC as I have my whole life!
My other hobbies are Anime
Are there any Anime series your'e into at the moment? I've watched quite a few myself, but my favourites being: Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, DBZ (Including Super), Seven Deadly Sins, Fairy Tale, Boku no Hero Academia & Black Clover.
The one that got me into it was Death Note and I've been hooked ever since!
Are you into DBZ at all? They recently had a movie released which was great!

Hey Mohammed. Dragon Ball was an anime that got me into it. It was first ever anime I watched and this is the title that got me hooked on all things Japan when I was 14 years old. Trunks is my favourite character of all time and I love that he has got his arc in Super as well. Recently I have watched Boku no Hero Academia, Days, Captain Tsubasa, Attack on Titan and Baki the Grappler.
I have never and I never will own an Apple device, they are just simply to overpriced and boring for me. I love the variety of Android market. Big or small screens, big or small batteries, affordable or premium, PS4 remote play on Sony Xperia phones, AI technology on Huawei and Honor devices, exotic options from Meizu, Energizer, Oppo or even Umidigi. All of this is what makes Android so interesting 🙂
What your DBZ favourite character@Mohammed ?

I watched DBZ as a child but never got into Anime then. Of course you watch DBZ, just realising that your avatar is of Trunks!
Yes, my friend is just the same, he wanted a Trunks cameo for so long and when he got it in Super he was over the moon. A good arc indeed.
My favourite character is actually a fusion of Goku and Vegeta.
It's not the one everyone goes for (Vegeto) It's actually Gogeta!
When I saw him in action I was in awe. I remember hyping about it when he fought Janemba.
I was annoyed that they didn't make him cannon and he'd always remain as the "not legit fusion"
Then when I found out that he was coming in the main story-line of Super, I was over the moon!
Me and my friend actually made a DBZ AMV using the song from Boku no Hero if you want to check it out here!
If I had to chose a regular character, I'd sound so mainstream, but it would have to be Goku!

Have you ever played Dragon Ball Xenoverse? I have completed the first game (story mode) and played of the second one. Pretty cool idea to create your own character and fight alongside all DBZ Heroes.
I am also curious how how is going to be new anime fighting game called "Jump Force". Would be cool to as One Punch Man against Goku and settle who is the strongest of the bunch ones and for all 🙂

I've played it at my friends, I wasn't too much into it but the concept did seem really cool! I've played quite a few of the games. I actually really liked Dragon Ball GT Final Bout on PS1 (Preview below)
The burning question Goku vs Saitama, even before I watched this video, my answer would have been Saitama. But here's the video you can watch yourself!
Jump Force looks absolutely phenomenal and it is THE anime game that we have all been waiting for. I won't jump the gun just yet and buy it due to being so busy in real life but will definitely look at purchasing it down the line. I hope they expand the roster over time, adding people from the Seven Deadly Sins also! Don't even get me started on the graphics 😍
If this roster list is true then you'll be getting to play as Trunks 😁

At my work place we sell game as well and I can borrow it for two weeks for free to test it so then we know what we sell. This is what I am going to do 🙂 Play it like crazy for two weeks and move on :)
I will definitely play as Trunks if he is available character :)
I did not like DB GT Final Bout, I hated the controls in this game. I remember playing DBZ game where fight was turn based and you had to choose cards to make moves and all was in Japanese language so I had to learn all tricks and moves and memorize them. It was amazing game but I can't remember the title 🙂

I vaguely remember one on the DS. Was it Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu? Thinking if you just had the Japanese version of it. I used to have the Japanese version of Masked Rider and figured out what everything was by trial and error before the age of the internet!
This was a fighting game indeed! Reminded me a lot like Tekken.
Do let me know how Jump Force is! Lucky for you 😫
What do you think of Kingdom Hearts? I didn't play it as a child but I bought the 1.5 & 2.5 remaster and I was loving it back when I had more free time to play it!

Hey @Mohammed
I was trying to Google title of that DBZ but no luck so far. I played this game on PC but I can't remember if I was using emulator or not. It is definitely not a Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu. I really can't remember this title and it's eating me from inside :D
To be honest I have never played Kingdom Hearts. Adding Disney characters to anime-like game is not my cup of tea. I have heard very good opinions about them though.
Currently I am playing Yakuza Kiwami and I want to collect all the Yakuza games released for ps4. I have got Kiwami, Zero and Song of Life so far 🙂

Hi @Hikari and everyone else!
Great to see a separate Hero Hideout, what an idea!
A little about myself: I'm Lewis and I'm the Head of Customer and Marketing and have been with iD for nearly 6 years now, right before we launched and was involved from the very beginning in creating iD. My job is to basically make sure we keep customers as happy as possible and provide them with the products, services and experience they want/deserve. So I'm really happy to see some of our passionate customers helping other customers in need and also suggesting great ideas for us to look into and think about how we can make them a reality.
Unfortunately I'm not much of a video game fan, but I'm definitely interested in some of the ideas that you have about how to make iD a better network for everyone!

Hey @LewisH
I am with ID nearly since the begging as well just on the other side of the spectrum. I am very happy with the services provided by ID therefore I am happy to stay and help to improve the network. As soon as I found out that ID Mobile has community setup I was like "let's crack on and help others" :D
Still have email where I got 500mb data for free for networks first birthday

Hey @Mohammed
I just wanted to let you know that I started to watch Seven Deadly Sins since it was one from your watched list I decided to give it a chance and I like it. I thought it is going to be one of these anime like "Kill la Kill" or "Fairy Tale" which I really didn't like but "Seven Deadly Sins" is much better 🙂

Good afternoon! I thought I'd introduce myself as we're all getting to know each other!
I'm Nikita, and I'm 28. I'm a total tech nerd, and that shows in my current career choice. I have a degree in IT, and I'm currently a senior IT support technician. I live with my husband and my adorable kids (ages 5 and 7) just outside of London.
Your comments about DBZ piqued my interest, I remember when I was a child watching the anime avidly with my sister and would be so upset if I missed an episode! I had the amazing opportunity a few years ago to actually meet one of the voice actors, Sonny Strait, who voices Krillin. (Uh...I totally didn't fangirl)
I don't game much, but my husband does. He likes FPS games though, which don't interest me in the slightest.
Lovely to meet you all!
Nikita

Sorry for the late reply here
Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
I just finished it not too long ago.
Forgot to ask, how's Jump Force? Any good? I've heard that the story is pretty lackluster?
I've recently joined the Switch bandwagon and saw the announcement of the latest Pokemon Series too (Sword & Shield) I know that

Hey Nikita, it's great to see us all together now in this one hideout!
Hopefully looking for more to join the club 😁
That's awesome! I'd love to meet some of the original voice actors, I remember watching a documentary on the internet where the Voice actor for Goku passed out during the SSJ3 transformation because the screams were too intense.

Actually I haven't played it yet. Boss decided not to order any copies and no one traded into the store yet.
I would like to join the Switch bandwagon as well but it's just to much money for me. I am still hoping for Sony to release new handheld console in the hear future 🙂

If you get to play it for free @Hikari then go for it, but from what I've heard, I wouldn't jump the bandwagon until it's dropped in price drastically.
"Graphically it's a marvel and in concept it seemed great, but story wise, it was a let down" to quote my friend.
Aww the Switch bandwagon is great, I had my eyes on it for ages and finally jumped after 6 months of waiting for the best deal!
I also have a feeling that Sony will bring out a new PSP. It's definitely the future of gaming and a big convenience. I remember having the original PSP! The idea you could browse internet on the go AND play console games was great. As well as being able to play PS1 games on it (after some "modifications" of course).
Seen the Crash Team Racing remaster coming? VERY PUMPED is an understatement.
(If the GIF loads *fingers crossed*)

Late to the chat here...
I'm Kevin (sometimes "Kermit").
I can't really hold my own with conversation on modern animé but I'm a super huge fan of Studio Ghibli (always subtitled).
I loved Samurai Champloo and Initial D years ago. Enjoyed Attack on Titan, but have still yet to get round to anything after season 1. I guess Pokémon would be my gateway animé, and keep meaning to give One Punch Man a shot.
I'm huge into video games, and still have an extensive retro game collection at home as well as having all the current gen systems too. If I had to pick a side, it would be Nintendo, just for consistency throughout my life. Though I don't like taking in part in any "console wars", I just want to enjoy any great experiences that are made for us.
I love Disney too. Disney World is like my favourite place on the planet. I like the stories told, messages within, and some of the great animation achievements that have happened along the way. My desk at work is decorated with various official Disney plushies I've found in the charity shop close by.

I do like Samurai Champloo too and I feel obligated to push you into watching One Punch Man as this definitely will be worth your time.

I used to be into games but adult life changed me into causal weekend gamer, although I work in the shop that sells games as well I don't spend to much time with them. I am trying to complete Diablo 3 since February and I am only starting chapter 3 :D
Retro gaming is something I could talk about with my mates in the pub. I grew up with Super Nintendo, Commodore 64, Sega Saturn and PS1.

That could be a topic you could talk to my partner. She loves Aladdin and Pocahontas productions the most. She collects Disney stickers and diaries as part of her nostalgia hobby :D
I can see that most of us like things in areas that we all have few arguments to create healthy discussion straight from Big Bang Theory 😃
