Question

MMS charged over WiFi?

I am using the Messages app on iPhone, and I sent an image to another iCloud user while connected to WiFi. It seems I was charged 55p for this by ID.  I don’t understand why I would be charged for this if it did not even travel over the ID network. I can understand if I did this over the 4G or 5G network, but this seems like a robbery to me.

Perhaps the image went to the other user as an MMS, not an iMessage as intended @goffchris

Hi @goffchris, @andewhite seems to be correct here.

It sounds like the message went through as an MMS, and not over WIFI. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to be charged for this.
