New eSIM & deactivated SIM

I've upgraded to a new phone with eSIM. The QR code for the eSIM has been sent to me and my current SIM appears to have been deactivated as a result. However, the new phone is not due for delivery until later in the month and my current phone doesn't support eSIM.

How do I get my service back?

Hi there @Jrbarntt

The quickest way would be to pop down to you local Currys and ask for a replacement SIM.

You would then to activate this replacement SIM yourself:

From my understanding requesting an eSIM shouldn’t automatically deactivate your current SIM but I’ve read a few other posts stating the exact same thing. I assumed the SIM would only deactivate either when you do this or when the system sees you’ve registered the eSIM

Hi @Jrbarntt

I’d recommend the same as @Daz_S above, with the old SIM card now being deactivated, to have another active physical SIM card, we’d recommend a replacement from Currys directly or our teams on Live Chat, Facebook and Twitter can assist with having one sent out.
