New sim but wanting to stay on old number

Hello - I was wondering if anyone can help?

I’ve recently bought a contract with ID mobile & I’ve arranged to move from EE towards the end of the month.
When purchasing the ID contract; I said I would like to stay on my EE number & that was confirmed.

However; I’ve been sent a new ID mobile sim - does anyone know why this is?

Also - I cannot log in to ID mobile app using my EE number. will this work when the date comes that I’ve agreed to move over?

thanks

Amazing thanks for the help - that clarifies a lot!!

For some reason it’s not recognising the new sim but that’s ok as I can use my old plan until 20th. Then my old number will be moved over hopefully!!

thanks so much

Hi @Becky Ridley,

Welcome to the Community!

We would send out the SIM as soon as the order is placed.

If you have requested the number port later in the month you’ll be able to log into your iD Mobile account with the old number.

However in the meantime you should be able to register your iD Mobile account with the iD Mobile number.

Kash

Hi @Becky Ridley,

What happens when you insert the SIM into the handset?

Are you able to test the SIM in a different handset to see if that makes a difference?

Kash
