new sim upgrade

My 24 month contract is coming to an end on 9 January 2024. A week ago I ordered an upgrade sim, I want to keep this phone and keep my phone number. I still haven’t recieved the sim so just wondering where it is? And I’m also confirming if this new sim keeps my same number? As I do not want to change it. Do I have to do anything further to ensure that my number is the same, or is this automatically transferred over? Thanks

If you upgraded you would keep the same number and also it should be the same SIM.

Are you still able to use services on your current SIM? If so the upgrade should have been done on the current SIM.

It may also be worth checking your iD Mobile account to see if the new tariff is showing.
