no 4g

I activated my new Galaxy A54 yesterday,transferring my old SIM a d number. I am struggling to get any data there is no 4G signal on the phone. Any ideas? Data roaming is switched on and it works fine via WiFi

I think data roaming option is only needed in order to use mobile data outside the UK. 

What status icons are shown at the top of the screen?

Is your mobile data option turned ON @Laurence webdill? 
The handset user guide should explain how to turn mobile data ON and OFF.

Have you checked for network faults in your area?
