Not receiving all my text messages

Hoping someone can help. It has taken hours so far trying to sort out what I had been led to believe would be a simple process of getting a new SIM card but keeping my old number.

I am receiving (sometimes) some text messages, but certainly not all of them.

Is there any way of speaking to someone to get this resolved?  

Can anyone help?

What handset are you using? Is it relatively new?

 

Also, have you ported a number over to us recently?

My handset is 2.5 years old from new and yes, I transferred my number ending in -999
