My bill for this month is almost twice my monthly charge, and I don’t understand why.

I have unlimited on all calls, texts & data. My bill shows no charges for anything but I’m being billed for recurring monthly charge(?). What recurring monthly charge? I have only been with ID mobile for 2 months with a £21.99 monthly contract but this month I’m being charged almost £42 & I cannot find out why.

The PDF copy of your bill has itemised charges for call, texts and data - perhaps the explanation can be found in the itemised charges sections of your bill @DawnOC

Hi @DawnOC

Welcome to the community!

If you haven’t gone over any allowances or used any premium services, then it sounds like this could be due to a direct debit date change.

When placing the order, did you specify a date for payment? The first bill is always taken 14-days after the contract starts, and then is either taken 30-days later, or on the date previously selected.

You can find further information on this via the link below.

Thank you for responding…the 1st bill was taken 2 weeks after the contract started but I have not changed any details for the direct debit. I expect the next bill to be 30 days after 1st payment but this should still only be for the agreed price of the monthly charge £21.99 not almost £42. I have gone through the itemised bill & have not be charged for anything. The only thing stated is this so called “Monthly Recurring Charge” for £41.14.

I really need a resolution to this but don’t know how to contact anyone to find out exactly what I’m being charged for.

Perhaps the best thing here would be an iD online Live Chat session to discuss your account billing with an iD agent @DawnOC.

The agents work until 6pm at weekends (8pm on weekdays) - to avoid the bot type “talk to a person” after connecting.
