iD suggest that I change my pin they gave me as a newly switched customer. However when I try to do this via the link they sent and also try to change my password first it kicks me out even though the details that I put in to do this are correct . Any idea what to do as this switching event has been troubled .

It may be worth trying on a different device or browser to see if that works.

If your number is still being ported you may not be able to register your account yet until it completes.
