I used to be able to use text (SMS) to send a short URL in the form tiny.cc/shortname but no more.

If I text tiny.cc get error code 28 and no delivery. If I text tiyn.cc all works fine.

Help desk ended up asking me to take phone and sim to store to run diagnostics but suspect I'm just wasting my time.

Any suggestions please. If feels as if this some sort of filtering going on at some level.

Android something or other on Motorola XT1072. Its exactly the same on a second phone with second ID SIM.

Work around - just put a colon in front so text becomes :tiny.cc

That way, it sends and the recipient can still hyperlink to the site. Wish I'd thought of that sooner but at least I've avoided a 30mile round trip to the warehouse. Phew.
