Problems loading Esim onto my Galaxy

I have a Galaxy Samsung and I have bought an ESim card for a 15 day visit to Canada. I am following the instructions for loading but I have encountered problems.

It may be an issue with my ID Mobile SIM card.

These are the instructions:

“Step 1: Add an eSIM from your device’s Settings.

Navigate to { Settings } > { Connections } > { SIM card manager }.

Step 2: Choose { Add mobile plan } to install the eSIM.

Select { Add mobile plan } > Tap { Scan carrier QR code }.

Step 3: Install eSIM using the QR code or manual installation.

Scan the QR code or manually input your eSIM details found in the email.

Ensure a strong Wi-Fi connection for successful eSIM activation.

Step 4: Wait for eSIM activation to complete.

Your eSIM will connect to the network; this may take several minutes.”

I can find ‘SIM manager,’ not ‘SIM card manager’. Once there, I cannot find ‘Add mobile plan’ and cannot proceed.

Is my phone locked to ID Mobile SIM? If so, how can I unlock it?

Hi @Tigertilney

Taking a look I think you’re correct, it doesn’t appear that the S20FE supports eSIMs, sorry.

Hi @Tigertilney

We’ve never locked Samsung devices to our network.

Are you sure your device is one that supports eSIMs or dual SIM?

It may be worth contacting Samsung or viewing your device’s handbook to see where to add an eSIM.

I think my Galaxy S20 FE doesn’t support eSIMs.

Thank you.
