Hello there, given whatsapp has discontinued supporting my old phone because android is too old, I got hold of a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini for the time being; it seems I can’t get registered on iD mobile network, though… The model is not in the “SIM compatible” list but neither was any of my older mobiles. Is there anything I can do or it is only :

  1. chnge phone
  2. get a SiM that is compatible

Thanks and best regards

Is your phone unlocked or locked to the Three network?

Sounds like you might need to change your phone @Guido Paoluzi Cusani

I can swap Id mobile for another provider that makes compatible SIM card, either… instead of wasting money on another phone

Try switching to EE, O2, or Vodafone all of whom have 2G networks, which will allow you to call and text using your old Samsung Galaxy S5 mini.

Hi @Guido Paoluzi Cusani

Unfortunately it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini isn’t an officially supported device for our network, therefore we cannot guarantee it’ll work with our SIM card.

It may be worth resetting the network settings on your device to test if this helps.
