Have you lost data before, when changing SIM cards, @Prologica

I’ve changed my mobile service provider SIM card many times, and used eSIM devices, and never lost any data when swapping. If you’re not changing your number, the apps work as before swapping the SIM.

I’d recommend reading the above articles, if you’re planning to change/upgrade your iD Mobile handset contract, at the end of its minimum term.

In your situation, I’d been inclined to stay with your physical SIM, @Prologica

iD have only just launched their eSIM product, and there do seem to be some teething problems.

Switching to another provider can also be more complicated, if your switching from eSIM to physical SIM and vice versa.

Hey there @Prologica, welcome to Community!

As @andewhite has kindly suggested, you wouldn’t lose any data etc when changing over from pSIM to eSIM.

If you have any other queries/questions, please do fire them across :)

Kind regards,

Tyler

Hi @Tony Farrell, it’s possible that a new SIM was sent out when the upgrade was processed, and the number has been transferred onto that new SIM.

Have you received this through the post? It will be in a green envelope.
