Stop my Moto Android 12 using MMS messaging

I have been charged for some SMS messages - I would like to make my Moto G50 (Android 12) not be able to send MMS. Can you tell me how to do this on my phone? (I’ve searched on line, and none of the suggestions I was able to find worked, or were applicable to  my phone)

    Perhaps you can manually change the MMS settings in the MOBILE DATA part of the phone settings @GlynF. This article might help: 

    Otherwise just set your iD account bill cap to £0.

    To avoid unwanted charges, it may be worth setting your bill cap to £0 as suggested above by @andewhite.
