I am planning to buy a new immobile contract and want to switch to my old number to IDmobile. However the switching date is shown as the day when I would have travelled outside the UK.
I will activate my sim while in the uk but when the switching happens, I will be outside UK.
Can I still use the id mobile on roaming in this scenario or I need to be in the uk when switching happens?

Good question. The switch will still take place while you’re abroad, so no need to worry. I’d recommend restarting your phone when your switch is processed. Also, depending on what phone you have you may need to update the phone number on your phone once the switch is complete.

Also, do I need to set any profiles once switch is done while roaming. I will be buying iPhone 15 pro.

You can check your APN settings and ensure they are correct.
