Travel eSim on contract phone

Hi,

I am going abroad very soon and would like to use data while I’m there. To avoid crazy roaming fees I was wondering if I would be able to use a temporary travel eSim while I’m over there. I have read online that some carriers lock contract phones to the sim they were provided on the contract but I wanted to check if this is the case with ID mobile. Does anyone know?

Contract phones from iD Mobile aren’t network locked, @Cuds9896.

You should be able to use another service provider’s eSIM in your handset as a secondary line.

Hi @Cuds9896

As @andewhite suggests, devices purchased from iD Mobile aren’t locked and you’ll be able to use another network’s SIM inside it.
