Unable to checkout when purchasing upgrade


Hi,

 

Im looking to order an upgrade as my contract ends in May. However i get to the checkout page after selecting my phone, enter my card details etc but it says payment unsuccessful.

I have updated my billing address to match my bank but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just seen its charged my bank 5 times a 1p amount? does this mean the upgrade has gone through?

Hi this is Simon Richmond.  I’ve had the same issues as Sam, I’m due to upgrade but can’t . My 1p gets taken out of bank but a message pops up saying authentication is a issue even tho everything is fine. I go thru all the stages til checkout. I can’t ring cause if COVID 19. The offer they have given is ideal and don’t want to lose this offer.

Hi it’s Simon, I’ve got my phone and the upgrade went well.

i do have a question tho, my girlfriend wants my old iPhone 6. Obviously she has no contract with you at the moment.

 

i was wondering, how do I go about setting her a account on my account, like a joint account. 
 

At the moment she has a invalid sim that has no kind of plan .

I was wondering if it was ok to add her to my account and use my old phone.

She has a new ID mobile sim, as I’ve kept the old Sim.

Hi @Simon Richmond, each new line you take out with iD Mobile creates a new account, so what you’re suggesting isn’t possible, unfortunately. We always recommend that your contract is taken out in your own name, as it prevents potential security issues down the line.

Can you get a Sim pay as you go to go in it, or is the phone useless now.

Hi @Simon Richmond, unless I’ve missed something, you should be able to buy a SIM-only plan and use this on the iPhone 6, no bother. Just make sure it’s not locked to any particular network.
