Unnecessary SIM card

I recently upgraded my SIM-only deal (I was already on a SIM-only deal, and used the app to upgrade to a different SIM-only deal), however I have been sent a new SIM card. Do I need to use this, or can I keep using the old SIM? My new deal appears to be in use on the old SIM, so I’m not sure what the point of the new SIM is?

Okay @barrsay04, sounds like you upgraded while you were logged in to your My Account online, or the iD app, so you can carry on using your old SIM with your handset - if it fits the handset.

iD Mobile only send out a new SIM, when you upgrade, in case your old SIM doesn’t fit the handset you intend to use with your ‘new’ iD plan.

The new SIM you’ve received is NOT active - just keep it in a safe place.

Anyway, good luck.

Thanks @andewhite! That is what I assumed the case was, but great to have confirmation.
