If you pop the SIM into a phone, you can call or text someone and they can confirm this number to you.

i tried this mate ,but the blinkin phone i have doesnt recognize it..even tho its an unlocked fone

Sounds like you SIM might be broken or faulty
You can get a replacement from Currys in-store, or online by using the iD live chat service.
