eSIM purchased and activated on iPad mini. All working as expected.

Can't find phone number to log into iDmobile.

Methods suggested like make a call/text not available from eSIM in iPad.

Any suggestions?

Hey there @Malcolm Cook, thank you for reaching out.

If you contact us via our live-chat or via social media, then we’ll be able to get your iD Mobile phone number for you.

Please note, we don’t officially support the usage of our SIM cards in other devices except our handsets listed and approved on our website. So although it may work in the iPad which is great, to register your account, you’ll need to enter your SIM card into a supported handset device to receive the text verification code.

Thanks,

Tyler

I’m sure the number is on there somewhere @Malcolm Cook

What about:

  1. Start the Settings app.
  2. Tap "General."
  3. Tap "About."
  4. Your phone number should be on the line called "Cellular Data Number."

Granted you’d be using the iPad Mini for data only, though if it isn’t showing there then I guess the above should help.

If I had a SIM card and not an eSIM it wouldn't be a problem but the new apple devices only take eSIMs.

My "other devices" are all android.

Not having a phone number is not the end of the world because you can't phone or SMS from an iPad. It just means I cannot log into the ID mobile app.

Ah, you’re like me then. Mostly Android here too @Malcolm Cook

I’d have to guess then that eSIM’s can’t show the ‘phone’ number in that area then, seems daft to me, but hey ho.

So I’d have to say go via their live chat, though without knowing the number, I have no clue how to proceed as I’m sure it asks for one at the start of the chat! If you do I’d suggest starting the chat with ‘hi’, wait for their automated bot to reply, then type ‘speak to person’ (as this should put you on to an actual human being).
