When exactly do CPI price increases apply to new contracts?

The monthly contract T&Cs say "Each April, your monthly plan charge will increase”  . How would this affect a new contract taken out on say 1st April? I.e Would the first bill have an immediate price increase against the original contract price? Or would the first ‘April price increase’ apply in the following year?

Or another way of asking: when should I take out a contract to avoid the price increase for the longest possible time?

Hi @breaded-ham

If you purchase after/on 01/02/24 you won’t be subject to the incoming 2024 CPI rate increase.

Purchases before/on 31/01/24 would be subject to the incoming 2024 CPI rate increase.
