I think both have their pros and cons but Android users have one thing Apple doesn’t offer: a massive choice of phones for every budget. Like many others I started using Android phones because there were some very budget-friendly phones available. Now I can afford proper grown-up phones I’m staying with the system I’m used to. My Samsung does everything I need and it fits in my pocket.

Apple has the edge!!

The customisation and flexibility on an android makes it my winner. I switched over from an iPhone many years ago and haven't looked back since!

Iphone,beacause,IPHONE is IPHONE…..

Used to always have androids due to their lower price point. I’ve had Nokia, Samsung, LG and more and every phone would always end up with software issues after about a year of using. (like being stuck in a cycle of turning on and freezing) and would always need to be sent off for repair. Have owned iPhones now for the past 4 years and touchwood no issues as of yet. 
 

I also love how easy to use and seamless iPhones are as well as their amazing range of accessibility options. I think the photos they take are also far better than androids.

Recently got given an iPad and it doesn’t do what I want it to

I found I phones hard to use and android a lot easier.

I have a personal phone ( Android ).A works phone ( iPhone ) It's got to be Android all the way, you have a choice of manufactures and not limited to one.

Got to be an Android , although the IPhones are very good quality phones I think that the Android phones offer more versatility when it comes to apps. I also find that goggles suite of software is much more widely used and is transferrable between work and home which makes life simple !

Android for me, mainly because I’ve used it for years, but also because it is mich more customisable than an iPhone and better value.

I've only ever used Android and don't feel tempted to switch. This has a lot to do with iPhones themselves. I've seen too many cracked iPhone screens which isn't acceptable considering what they can cost, indeed I saw one only this morning. Also the current design of the iPhone seems clunky compared to my Oppo phone and just about any other make I can think of. While iPhones have a reputation for good performance the days when they were consistently leading the pack are now very much behind us and with so many Android options to choose from the chances of my ever moving to IOS are practically zero. 

Android is the only sensible decision. Apple owners just follow the herd and pay massively over the odds.

Apple is the way to go, as the android I currently use doesn’t like sharing information with the Mac that I use.

I have to use a 3rd party software system to link the photo’s between the Anderoid phone and the Mac.

I am a loyal Android user. I am  impressed with the performance of android both for everyday use and for gaming. When out and about the long battery life and supervooc charging is a great feature. I  have a fantastic phone that offers a lot for the price 

I think they both have their merits. Lifelong apple user but now on android for past 4 years. Price point, and also ease of use if your into getting into the deeper bowels of your phone with designing and various programming options and being more open source, apple can be very restrictive but I guess they have to protect their market position.

If someone else is paying for my phone apple, for economy android

I'll always go for an Android phone. I don't like change & Apples cost way too much for the level of use I would need. 

Ha! that age ol’ chestnut on iPhone V Android.  Well when it comes to the hardware there are a lot more choices down the Android rout where with Apple they usually are restricted to their latest (or earliest) model so when it comes to hardware I think android just has the edge.  

Now,  the ios V android.  Now, in my job before I retired, I worked in a specialised NHS service called EAT (Electronic Assistive Technology) and I was the founder of the in house service in the UK back in 1997. Part of the job entailed enabling severely disabled patient access to all manner of things through technology.  Think Stephen Hawkins and Rob Burrows.  Now in the early days such equipment attached to wheelchairs wasn’t very becoming and in later years - around 2014,  third part companied began integrating their systems through tablets.  Because Android is an open source OS it was much easier to develop systems to work through android because Apple kept a tight reign over their operating system it was far too restrictive and laborious to work with.

So, for me - its got to be Android for the sake of the disabled.

They are both excellent pieces of equipment but it's not the high price of iPhone that affects my judgement but their ruthless and unashamed manner that they exploit those who are their customers. They try to make their product incompatible with any other make so you are tied to iphone ever.

I’m an iPhone user, and could not have any other phone, as amazing as some of them seem. I’m too used to the OS, the layout, and especially the ease of connection between devices. I rely a lot on that- knowing that even if I lose or break my phone completely, I lose none of my photos, contacts, or data of any kind, because it can all be transferred to a new device, or accessed via my iPad. Everything is integrated. The prices mean I usually have to get them second hand, but at this point it really is just an essential for me. The idea of having to learn an entire new kind of phone is terrifying 😅
