windows phones and iDmobile

new here guys so first to say hi to everyone.

i am enquiring for a friend. he has a windows phone and, never having had one myself, forgive my ignorance but wondered if an iD sim card will fit into the phone and work without issue? if not, i assume getting a cheap Android phone will be the next option.

anyone able to advise me, please?

many TIA

Hello @Prettygrim

A big welcome to the iD Community!

I've moved your topic to the section Other device types (Windows, other operating systems etc.) for clarity.

As long as the phone supports 3G you should be able to use our network.

Our network supports 3G and 4G masts.

If your phone is only 2G then it's not going to work and yes, as you mentioned, an Android phone (one that supports 3G at a minimum) would be the best option.

many tnx for the reply and info. i'll pass the info on to my friend and let him decide what he wants to do. considering what he's paying atm/month for minimal use, he would, in my opinion, be an idiot not to change
