Another monthlybBill being paid for a phone with no signal.only use for WiFi

There could be a number of reasons. But you could put your postcode into here to see if there’s any known issues:

The other thing might be due to 3G being switched off in your area

(it defaults to 4G, then toggle to 3G and 5G)

 

And if 3G has gone from your area, this might hep with this too:

 

 

The other issue might be your phone. If it’s a Samsung then there’s every chance the previous providers software might be limiting the functionality of the phone, but I’d check the above first.
