4G has stopped working

Suddenly lost connectivity 3 - 4 days ago.  Tried restarting phone multiple times but to no avail.  Are there any network issues?  If not, what else can I try?

Hi @AlSherren,

Are you able to test the SIM in a different handset?

If you have the same issue we’ll double check that the SIM has activated correctly.

@AlSherren sounds like you may need a replacement SIM.

Thanks.

Why has my SIM stopped working though?

I have acquired a replacement SIM but you won;t let me register it: the page (https://switching.idmobile.co.uk/customerPortIn) is asking for my old iD mobile number and transaction number: I never used my iD mobile number (as I transferred a number from my previous network) and had no need to keep reference to this.  No idea what my ‘transaction number’ is either, the only reference I can find is an order number which isn’t valid anyway.

How can I register this SIM?

That’s not the link to activate a replacement SIM card. Try this one:

Thanks @WelshPaul for the help. @AlSherren how did you get on with the new link? Thanks.

@WelshPaul , @Matthew T  thank you, I have now activated the SIM card, and now I can’t message; I have requested a PAC code to transfer my old number over, but the incredibly unhelpful email from iD doesn’t state who I am supposed to give this code to - why?

What happens once you’ve got your PAC or STAC?
You’ll need to contact your new provider and give them your PAC or STAC. They’ll contact us directly to start your switch.

@AlSherren - you won’t need a PAC or STAC. Just the activation is enough. Activation of a new SIM card can take up to 24 hours. Thanks.

thanks @Matthew T

I have activated the new SIM (they messaged to say it was activated) and turned my phone on/off multiple times, but I still have no data connection.

Hi @Kash thanks for that.  Yes that did the trick.  Found ‘reset network settings’ in general settings app and that seemed to do the trick.  Didn’t consider it because I made no changes.
