Absolutely Appalling Voice Service

As of late, I simply cannot make calls on my mobile from my home address. I reboot my iPhone,. get 4 bars, can make calls for around 5 mins then it just stops. And yes, I am using WiFi calling also. But that’s not the point. Why am I paying you for a network that is does not function? It’s absolutely appalling. Given I live in suburban London it’s astonishing really, it’s not like I’m in the middle of nowhere. It’s the same story when I’m in the City. Cannot make calls under any circumstances.

This is my work number and you are making my life extremely difficult and making me look extremely unprofessional. It’s the same story with my personal phone which is on 3, same network. Something is very wrong here.

Please respond, failing that I’ll just get these numbers transferred to another provider.

Good morning Tyler. E18 2PY. But it’s not just at this location, it’s generally really bad. It’s an iPhone8 and it worked perfectly well on VF. TBH I should probably move back but for the fact you’re merging. hopefully 3’s RAN might get retired or absorbed into VF’s.

According to the blurb on the VodafoneThree corporate website, ​@frithi:

Within just a few months, 27 million Vodafone and Three mobile customers will start to benefit from unrivalled access to roam on each other’s networks – automatically connecting them to the best coverage available, at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, seems only Three UK and SMARTY customers will get access to Vodafone’s network. 

As an independent MVNO owned by Currys, iD Mobile are not merging with Vodafone.

I should also add that my wife who is also on IDMobile is suffering from exactly the same issues. So it’s 99.999999% unlikely it’s a handset issue.

As I pint out above, my personal number is on 3 and while it’s bad it’s not quite as terrible as IDMobile.

Thanks for the heads Up ​@andewhite . Think I know what to do then!! These virtual cheapo networks are always useless. Should have known better but hey ho. Back to VF it is…

 

There are three eternal truths:

 

ALL retails banks are terrible

ALL broadband providers are terrible

ALL mobile phone providers are terrible

 

It’s just a cast of least worse.

Our system hasn't reported any network issues at this postcode. When was the last time you’ve replaced the SIM card?

Can't remember. But as per my earlier post, my wife, who is on the same network, is getting exactly the same problem

Mobile network coverage in this postcode is notoriously bad. All of the local residents complain how bad it is. Also, if you looked on your coverage map there’s is a dead zone over most of Waltham Forest to which we abut. 

I had a smart meter installed some years ago which has never worked because the SIM inside that unit also can’t get a signal.

No matter. I’ll get some PAC code tomorrow and end this woe.

Again, may I ask that your moderators stop filtering anything that is critical of IDM. Anyone would think you had something to hide.
