apple 16e - no 5 g !

I have had a terrible reception for many months now that 5G is available where I live I bought a new phone apple 16e. Transfer done still poor signal ! Settings to 5g! Do I need a new sim?

it’s annoying I have to rely on others wifi when I’m out and about.

Thanks but I’ve already had one, no change! I have also found that many 3 customers have little or no signal!! But 3 and ID signal maps indicate otherwise. They’re NOT investigating issues!!! Otherwise they’d find out the truth

What’s your postcode? Hard to get 5G indoors depending what frequency they are using and such.

@MZone no signal applies to 4G also, my son is with EE and he gets a great 4G & 5G in the area I live. I’d rather not put my postcode on a public page but thanks for trying to help. I have used the signal checker.

The sk23 whaley bridge area has next to no internet and signal. Its really hard for me to work because of this issue.

Will this ever be resolved or will i have to switch providers?

If multiple Three UK users (or users of networks relying on Three) are reporting similar it’s likely the general coverage in the area could be weak or subject to an outage.

 

You mention the issue has been present for a few months, when did the issues start (as accurately as you can)?

 

Before this time, how was signal?

Sk23 7Lp area. Its absolutely shocking and near unusable. My friends that are on other providers get internet and signal. EE seems to be the best. Honestly i dont want to leave ID but at this rate i might have to because i simply cant use my phone in the area and im there all day... 😩 if it would be possible to boost the signal in that area all my problems would be no more

I can’t see any issues in the area.

Have you tried the SIM in another handset or test a replacement SIM?

If the issues persist we can PM you to assist further.

No havent tried it on another device but everything works in most other places. If its saying theres no issue in the sk23 7lp area then its lying to you... 100%. And i wouldnt be here. Theres nothing wrong with my phone either or it wouldnt work anywhere would it... not just mainly in this area.

 

Like i said prior. I dont want to. But i will have to switch providers at this rate. So please if you could just get the signal working in the area id be thankful
