Bad phone signal at home in last year

For the last 12 months I have experienced poor phone signal. I make a call, it intermittently cuts out or the person I’ve rang cannot hear me at all. I have to stand by the window at the end of the house to make a call.

This wasn’t the case 12 months ago and my husband’s phone (on a different network) does not have this issue.

Can anyone suggest what the issue might be please?

Unfortunately, @Fraya your options are limited to replacing your device with one that supports WiFi calling on the iD Mobile network or switching networks. ☹️

Okay @Fraya, given your husband’s using a different mobile network, without any issues, it appears iD coverage at your home is probably poor in comparison.

Have you tried using the iD Mobile WiFi Calling service at home?

This community article might help. Just to say, I rely on the WiFi Calling service in my home, as it’s in a mobile not-spot.

Many thanks, unfortunately my phone is not ID approved so I cannot use WiFi calling.

I’ve been with ID Mobile for years and sadly think this may be coming to an end as the phone is virtually unusable at home for telephone calls.

Hi @Fraya

As @WelshPaul  has advised, we would recommend updating your device perhaps to one that can support Wi-Fi calling. Sometimes certain buildings and structures can affect coverage indoors.

Strangely this was device was ok until last year. It’s not an old phone so don’t plan to change it yet.

That is understandable @Fraya

Sorry we can’t amend the handsets the network approves 😥

Hi @Fraya

It’s possible the 3G network switch off has affected the device, unfortunately we wouldn’t know for sure and can only point towards an unsupported handset being used, sorry.
