Hi there
since having this phone contract signal has always been a issue everytime i get a important phone call they cnt hear me or cnt understand what am saying
Are you using a phone purchased from iD too?
If not what phone are you using and what was your previous service provider?
If you have home internet and use WiFi calling does it still drop the call?
then i have to use my partners phone its a joke
Is your partner also on iD? If yes have you tried swapping SIMs to see if the issue moves?
can i cancel my contact 6 monthd in
You could, but you’d have to pay early termination fees
Also, does it show if there’s a known fault at your postcode?
And does it state 3G has been switched off using your postcode here too?
(it defaults to 4G, just toggle to 3G and 5G)
If 3G has gone from your postcode have to adjusted your phone (if it allows you too)?

Hi there Jack (
There has been some others having issues with their new model Samsung phones. Have you used an eSIM in it by any chance?
If you have this appears to be bricking the phone. The solution is for Samsung to rip it apart and swap in some new components. A user on here has already had their phone ‘repaired’ once and its failed again.
If you haven’t I would seriously recommend you don’t ever use an eSIM.
Yes having a dodgy SIM from the get-go isn’t uncommon, hopefully a new one will sort this.
If it still falls on its arse (and you’ve not used an eSIM) then it could either be the phone or the signal for iD in your area.
Did anything show on either of the above network status and network coverage links?

Pretty well the same as me then.
Mine was great a good few months back - my wife then joined about a month after I did - after another month or so later its gradually got to the point where its hardly usable (0 to 3 bars without me moving around!)
She was in a supermarket yesterday and tried to call, nope, so she tried to whatsapp video, we had to give up.
For the last 4 days my phone has been dropping the calls.
All I can say is keep checking those links and either wait it out or if you’re not in a long (12/24 month) contract maybe think about moving to away. We’re giving this some serious thought, shame really.

I totally understand you Jack.
My wife and I went to 3 different European countries and the signal strength was perfect. It does make you wonder why the UK is on its arse.
The only thing to suggest is to raise this directly with them, via live chat. It should then make its way up to their complaints team. From there it might give you a way out. Though for the most part they’d chuck their terms back at you. But if you can’t use the phone what else can you do?
I was hoping a team member on here would’ve picked this up by now

Hey there
Is the issue only with calling, or data and text to?
Are you able to make and receive calls okay, or is it generally the call quality that’s the issue?
Thanks,
Tyler

Hi
Okay, this sounds like it’s better in some areas and worse in others, which we’d generally expect.
Please could you let us know the postcode(s) where signal appears to be okay and then where it isn’t and let us know which is which?

Hi there Jack. I know that feeling well. And more annoying is when its important calls like that.
I’m now on day 11 of an absolutely shite signal. Looks like my wife and I are moving from iD in a maximum of 44 days time.
2 positives for me would be 1) the wife should finally be happy and 2) as I do with all forums if I leave the service I leave the forums too.
The only possible way for me to stay with iD is if Three pull their finger out their arse and finally either commit to keeping 3G going until they sort 4G out or bin 3G totally and fix their 4G - I’ll give iD/Three 6p’s out of 6 - Prior Planning Prevents Pis* Poor Performance.
To be able to have a chance of being released from your contract early, but I must stress it doesn’t always work, it to put a formal complaint in to iD.

Thanks
I have checked the area for the full postcode provided and can see 3G is switched off, 4G is good coverage and 5G is patchy.
This can be checked here.
Testing the SIM in another handset will help to determine if the issue lies with the handset or the SIM itself.
We would be happy to arrange a free SIM replacement to see if this helps to improve the service.

Thanks for your reply.
Was the handset purchased directly from us or in a Curry’s store?
Are you able to test the SIM in another handset at all?

All iD phones are unlocked Jack, so you could try popping your partners SIM in to your SG24 ultra. If the signal drops on another network then it’s likely the phone.
(network card and motherboard might end up getting changed under warranty)
