Bad signal reception in London, Finchley N3 area anybody else?

Since the beginning of June 2025, iD/Three reception has been horrible here in the Finchley N3 area. To be fair, the reception was already weak, however, I could get by with decent data speeds, but now it’s just zero reception. It has been so bad that our home internet is also Three, and we have no internet at all. My second SIM card is Lebara/Vodafone, and it also has very bad reception. What’s going on? Did anything change that we lost reception all of a sudden? What can I do to avoid changing providers again?

Hey there @Al Neto, sorry to hear that. What’s the full postcode and what phone do you have please?

Is the iD Mobile SIM set as the primary SIM also?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi there Tyler, thanks for the prompt reply.

The full post code here is N3 3HN, according to Three website, there is an issue going on. But what issue and how long to get solved before we change providers, I work from home and this is causing a bit of a headache. iD Mobile is my primary data provider yes and it’s an esim and I use an iPhone 15 on 18.5 IOS. The building here has very bad reception but when the phone was by the window it always worked but now I’ve got nothing.

Hi @Al Neto

Taking a look the area of N3 3HN is subject to an outage, Three UK are aware and working on a fix.

Are you having issues everywhere or are there locations where you don’t have these issues?

Have you tried your SIM in another device?

Tom

Hi Tom, my block of flats is known for having very bad reception in pretty much all providers, weirdly Three was the one that worked the best, hence why I came back to iD mobile, before I was on Mozillions (EE), and it did not work at all, so I left them. I also have a Lebara (Vodafone) eSIM and it also has very bad reception. This area has a lot of black spots where you lose connection, it would be good to see if Three can do anything about as I think the mast is like half a mile down the road.

Weirdly enough, today, the connection came back into some sort of stability. It's not great, but at least I am now able to get a bit of speed with the internet. Our 5 G three broadband also started to give signs of life again. I wonder if they are still fixing it or have done what they had to do.

Please keep me posted, I do not want to live iD I think you guys are very good and organized, I recommend you all 5 stars.
