calls ring out but arent received on other phone

Hi,

So, myself and my husband are both on id, sometimes when we try to call each other, the call will ring and after a number of rings go to voicemail, but the other phone doesn't actually ring and we don't get a missed call notification.

This has happened a number of times and we tested it when together. Phones in the same room, we are clearly calling one another and hear each other's voicemail, but the other person's phone just doesn't receive anything at all.

Very frustrating when trying to get hold of each other and we aren't even aware.

    Thank you for confirming.

To clarify, is this only happening when calling each other?

What happens if someone else tries to call please?

Also, is this a new issue or has it always been the case?

    Thanks,

    Nat

Sometimes the calls ring as normal, sometimes they do not and there is no evidence of a call other than the call log of the phone that made the call.

When making the call it seems to go through as normal, rings and goes to voicemail, but unless a voicemail is left, the other phone recieves no indication of a call.

As such, I was unaware if it was happening from other phones or not, but today, a landline has left me a voicemail, but my phone did not ring and no call is showing up on my call log. How can this be that I have a voicemail but no evidence of missed call!?

It took a while to realise it was happening, but I think it has been since I got my new phone and switched to the id network last year.

It's a real issue and to be honest I'm debating filling a complaint and leaving, as with a young child at school, I need to know that my phone will ring and someone can get hold of me in an emergency

Just to add, obviously this might be happening to other phone numbers I am calling or receiving calls from and I just haven't realised yet.

Sorry to add to the thread but I am also experiencing the same issue.. Seems like I made a bad decision with this network. I gave the sim to my daughter and same issue this person is experiencing.

I gave her another phone thinking the phone had become faulty but it was the same issue. I then thought maybe it might be our service provider as me and my wife are with EE. So I then got someone else to ring and guess what, same issue!

How can this be fixed, feels abit pointless giving her a phone if it doesn't ring.

    P. S. This happens intermittently, alot more that one would like... The odd call may go through but its 5050.

Hope this is an easy fix

    Hi @Minhaj Patel

Sorry to hear this, is the user in the UK whilst being unable to receive calls?

Are they able to ring outbound just fine?

    It might be worth trying some of the steps at the below;

    Hi,

Just to say, this issue has never been fixed for me. I thought it was resolved a few weeks ago after speaking with the someone, but it's now happening intermittently again. So frustrating!

As you say it's 50/50. But as I am on iD aswell as the person who I often try to contact, it's never clear who the issue is with as we have trouble with outgoing calls and receiving calls from one another. It definitely seems like a network issue and I wouldn't recommend iD at all after this.

Hope someone picks this up and actually manges to fix the issue for us!
