Calls to Customer Service Centres - cannot hear me

Whenever I make a call to a customer service centre, they cannot hear me; the connection is terrible. But if they call me back it's absolutely fine.

It's not the phone.

When I make calls to private phone numbers, I have no problems.

Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks

@Trif  is this with one company or all? If you've been calling regularly landlines and mobiles number's and other's can her you I say it's more to do with the call centre.

What device are you using and have you tried turning off and turning back on your phone since you've experienced said problem to see if it continues to happen?

Thanks Joe.

It seems to be all call centers, eg Banks, Halfords, Booking.com, British Airways. But if they call me back... they can hear me fine.

It's not a volume problem, they can hear some words, so it sounds like I must be breaking up.

I've updated software on the phone, rebooted, tested the microphone and settings.

It's a Samsung Galaxy A05S.

Hi @Trif,

Welcome to the Community!

Have you tested the SIM in another handset and tried to make the call?

You can also look at getting a replacement SIM to see if that makes a difference.

Hi @Trif,

Please let us know how you get on?

If the SIM works fine in another phone it’s likely going to be the handset that is the issue.
