Can't make or receive calls (Samsung S10e)

In the last month I’ve noticed I can’t make or receive calls on my Samsung S10e at my workplace here in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire or at my parents home in West Wales. I can still send and receive texts though.

I have recently seen the banner re 3G switched off and have followed all the advice and still can’t make or receive calls.

My phone is on the approved list and has VoLTE  enabled. It was bought new and not locked to any network.

I’m getting extremely frustrated at missing/not being able to make calls! Especially at my parents home as I have full 4G(LTE) and full signal - this has been infuriating as a family member has been in hospital recently. I have also missed lots of important business calls which is also infuriating!

I also notice the huge quantity of messages about the shambles this 3G switch off is causing - if this isn’t sorted very soon I’m sacking off ID and switching to a network that actually bloody works!

@Matthew T Thanks, but don’t bother as I’ve already started the switch to a different network. I can’t be bothered messing about with ID anymore.

Looking at the amount of people who have been having the exact same problem I’d say there is something seriously wrong with the id network.

Shame, as I was quite happy with id before all this.

UPDATE:

Switched to Three and everything works fine - no missed calls/can make calls even in places where the signal is poor. Looks like it was down to id mobile network not being fit for purpose anymore.

Anyone reading this should try going through the 3G switch-off troubleshooter and if that fails, just switch to a better network.

***ALSO, just be aware of people sending private messages in response to your questions posted on the iD Community - they say there're from iD staff but lots of them are just fishing for personal/bank detail - it’s fairly obvious when you look at their profiles but don’t get caught out!***

Glad you’re having a better experience @dwill2024. I did send you a Private Message, if you don’t mind, a reply would be great as it’ll help us understand why your phone works on Three, but not iD (as we use Three).

Regarding Private Messages, we’ve now blocked the ability to send Private Messages, except to and from iD Team.
