Connecting to Wifi abroad

I am abroad in France, Roaming is on. When at the house we stay at, I can connect to the wifi, but it has no internet. 

We have tested it with other phones / devices, and it is working fine. Why is it not connecting to the internet? 

I have tried a network reset on the phone. It is a galaxy S10 phone.

Your UK plan allowances can’t be used in Turkey, @Andrea Smith Was Metcalfe

If you iD account bill cap was £0, you’d only be able to use a local Wi-Fi network. SMS text messages are free to receive in any overseas destination.

Maybe the APN value is incorrect, @Gerard Doran

The correct APN for the mobile data settings is “id” - in lowercase letters.

Hey there @Gerard Doran, welcome to Community! We’re sorry to hear you’re having issues with roaming in France.

 

Firstly, as kindly advised by @andewhite, please try what’s been advised above.

 

If that doesn’t work, please try restarting the phone, and resetting network settings once more. Please also try the SIM card in another device and see if it works, or try a different (non-iD) SIM card in your phone, to see if that works.

 

If not, we’d recommend contacting our live-chat as soon as possible, as roaming issues can only be troubleshooted and worked on whilst the customer is still abroad, or having the issue still, and we’d like to support you as best as possible.

Did you have your bill cap at £0 not allowing extra charges?

 

Usage in Turkey would be charged as extra, it isn’t a part of your allowance.
