Coverage is poor. hardly receive calls and bad network signal

Since I switched to ID Mobile I hardly receive any calls. The caller says it rings and rings but I don't get a call or missed call on my phone, I get the odd text message that says a missed call and a random number but then I have to search on my phone to see if I recognise that number. I use my phone for business mainly so I have missed a lot of calls from customers. The internet on the phone is hit and miss too, I can be waiting for a couple of minutes for it to load a web page. The issues don’t get any better when I travel around either. The phone is a Galaxy Flip 7. I have spoken to ID Mobile chat 3 times and I have reset my network several times which they suggested and nothing has got any better.

Has anyone else had this problem and how have they fixed it or is it best to go to another mobile provider. I was with Vodafone before and didn't have a problem and i believe ID Mobile use that same network?

Hi @stokielee

I understand this is frustrating, especially for business use.

iD Mobile uses the Three network, not Vodafone, so coverage can differ. Here are a few things to try:

-Ensure your SIM is properly inserted and active.

-Check your Galaxy Flip 7 is set to 4G/5G auto.

-Test your SIM in another phone, or another SIM in your phone.

-Move to a different location to check signal.

I have tried all the above and it is still not working property except when the sim is on my old iPhone 13 mini when it works fine

I just get ID network not found all the time and messages are mostly not sending now.

I have requested a PAC code so I can go to a different network. I have only had the phone a month so its costing me over £700 to cancel my contract but I cant keep going on like this .

id Mobile don’t permit business use on your contract; you may need to find alternative supplier.

Why would that make a difference. Its been cancelled anyway as I am unable to make or recieve calls, business or not

It is just a bit mental how i have got to pay £700 to cancel a contract when there are issues with the phone/network. I know its not a lot of money but its just the principle

If you’re using iD Mobile for business, they can terminate your agreement and you’ll still be responsible for an early termination fee. It’s generally not advisable to use a domestic-based service for business, especially one of the cheapest options available.

Given the poor service, why didn’t you take advantage of the cooling-off period? You had 30 days to try the service and could cancel without paying an early termination fee if you were unhappy with any aspect of the service.

I am just going have to use my old iPhone 13 mini where it works fine. I was paying 6GBP for that phone and now 29.99GBP on a new network but hey oh, at least it works.

Hi @stokielee ,

I understand your frustration, and I’m really sorry for the experience you’ve had. I appreciate it’s about the principle, especially when the service hasn’t worked as expected.

As the contract has already been cancelled, the early termination charges apply under the terms of the agreement. I know this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for, and I’m sorry we weren’t able to resolve the network issues sooner.
