Flappy 5g / 4g network.

Hi there - I’m new to ID mobile, and to the best of my knowledge have a signal issue with a transmitter at the end of the street.

I live in SE9 South East London.

When I am near this mast - the data signal in particular is very patchy. I know its the ‘ID’ network as other phones in my possession on Vodafone etc do not exhibit any anomalies or download issues etc when stood in the same area.

Is there any way this transmitter issue can be investigated?

Generic data says no reported issues in the area.

I’m a new customer / couple of months into the contract and it’s driving me nuts.

Thank you!

Me again - do I just wait for a reply from ID staff? Or is there another way to contact them with this type of issue?

Just curious.

Thank you!

Thank you for that @Awdust

When having issues, are you connected to 3G, 4G or 5G please?

Is the issue with calls, texts or data, or all?

Thanks,

Tyler

All. Probably not 3G in all sincerity though...

Hi there @Awdust, thank you for confirming.

Have you tried resetting your network settings and also restarting your phone when the issues occur?

How many bars of signal do you typically receive here?

Does the issue occur when you have bars of signal still, or when you have no signal at all?

Thanks,

Tyler

I've tried all the basics. It cannot be the phone or Sim issues -must be this transmitter or local issue with the network.

Here is another perspective - if I stand in the same spot - which is a regular occurrence e.g. dog walk past this transmitter with two phones - the ID mobile phone / sim chokes and splutters, and the .79p a month Labara network sim does what 5g should do - its like chalk and cheese.

Same experience on both phones every-time!

Night and day!

But the ID network (or this particular transmitter / HW) is at fault IMHO.

Please let me know if you need anything else?

Regards,

Thank you for your reply @Awdust

Can you please confirm if you have tried your iD Mobile SIM in another handset in order to rule out a SIM/device issue?

Hi Natalie - No is the short answer, but I can swap the sims. Maybe I can try that later today. I‘ll ping you when its done.
