How to resolve error 0 when sending text messages issue?

I tried texting a new contact based in the UK but received a “Can’t send message with ID - error 0” I have only been with ID since May but did not have any issues messaging after the switch was made. Tried looking up potential fixes like clearing cache, restarting etc. but none of that did the trick.

 

Any suggestions?

It’s possible the number you tried to text has been classified by iD as a non-standard mobile number, @daleh96

If it’s a non-standard number, and your iD account bill cap is £0, your text can’t be sent. 

Maybe check the online iD Mobile Non-Standard 07 Numbers list.

This error is typically fixed by either ensuring the message center code is correct or using a replacement SIM card.

 

Messaging > 3 dots right hand corner > Settings > More settings > Text Messages > Message centre
