“I ported my number to your network, but my SIM is still provisioned with the temporary number. This is causing SMS/MMS to fail.

Please refresh my SIM profile and push the correct MSISDN to the network so my iPhone registers the right number.?

    Hi @Timmy Pettican

Was your SIM card in your iPhone before the transfer happened?

    It’ll be worth trying the steps in the following;

    Hi,

I’ve sorted it now thanks. Had to re-put my original number in the message app as it was still showing the number that came with the SIM card.

seems to be working fine now 🥳

    cheers

    Hi @sbbaggies

Thank you for getting in touch with us. I understand that you’ve successfully installed your ID Mobile eSIM, however you’re currently unable to send text messages, while WhatsApp is working correctly. This usually indicates that mobile data is active, but SMS services may not yet be fully provisioned.

Please try restarting your phone first, as this often completes the activation process. After restarting, check that the eSIM is set as your default line for messages and that airplane mode is turned off.

If the issue continues, please let us know:

The make and model of your phone

Whether you are able to receive text messages

Any error message you see when trying to send a text.

    Thank you,

    Zandile

No nothing works on iPhone now. Tried adjusting settings but now passcode and FaceID not recognised so cannot use at all and cannot use anything on computer that requires 2-factor ID

Had to do factory reset to try to get anything working but now eSim doesn’t work as states already used

You can’t reuse an eSIM QR code. However, performing a factory reset shouldn’t delete an existing eSIM.

No eSIM doesn’t work and iD Mobile are refusing to cancel and send a new eSIM by email

    1. You should have started your own thread instead of jumping in on someone else’s. When you do this, they get emails and notifications informing them that there is a new reply to their thread which can be annoying.
    2. To install an eSIM, your phone must have a working internet connection. Without it, the eSIM won’t activate. Even with internet access, the process can take about five minutes before the eSIM activates and a signal is received.
    3. Did support ask you to provide proof of identity? They won’t issue a replacement without any.
