Hi, status checker says the network gets busy on my nearest mast. How can I fi d the location of my nearest mast please.

One should never assume that they are connected to the mast which is closest to them. That’s not a given and not how radio works.

The mast that serves your location ​@Pedrome is eNB ID 7512 and is located at Longbeach Leisure Park, Hornsea Burton Road, Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull and East Yorkshire, England, HU18 1TQ, United Kingdom

FYI - You cannot manually select a mast to connect to.

    Hi, cellmapper shows no mast covering the area yet coverage checker says 4g inside and out. Accept I may not be using cellmapper correctly. Post code YO25 8TZ.

    You’re using it incorrectly, there are multiple masts near to you. I just looked!

    Hi ​@Pedrome  you should be getting great 4G coverage indoor and outdoors. However, our service checker does state that there is, at times, heavy usage in this local area. As a result, you may experience varying data speeds depending on how many customers are connecting to our network via your closest mast. A quick reboot of your handset will refresh your connection to the mast and may help.

      Hi

      Thank you for your responses. I have tried my sim in a 4g router with external antenna and at weekend couldn't get better than 1.5Mbps

      At the same location an O2 sim manged 18Mbps just in my phone.

      I think I will leave iD until they upgrade capacity in my area, maybe helped by the Vodafone merger.
