Network Coverage is dreadful

I've been with ID mobile for a few months now. I live in the central belt of Scotland near Edinburgh and my coverage is almonst non-existent. On the campus where I work there is zero reception apart from small pockets here and there.

The coverage says I should have excellent  indoor and outdoor 4G coverage. It says the same for my home address and I have the same problems. The only reliable method of communication is when I'm on a wifi network.

Absolutely disgusted with this abysmal service. Unfortunately I have to put up with it for two years but will not renew after that.

Sorry to hear this @Steviev67 & @Leeh098 - if you do look to switch networks, I’d recommend using this coverage checker to see who’s best:

https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/mobile-coverage

Thanks.

Can I echo Tigerlilysandybanks opinion of the abysmal id/3 coverage in Scotland.

I've just spent 3 weeks travelling on the Scottish west coast with only the occasional sniff of signal. More often than not despite being able to see mobile phone masts there was no signal or not enough to make calls or download data. I think this clearly demonstrates how useless the 3 network is outside of urban areas.

It's pointless id selling big data bundles when they don't provide the coverage to use them.

I propose id designate the Scottish coast a roaming zone so we can use other networks that do value rural coverage.

Sorry Tom but that is a useless response.

Perhaps you could have said... I'll pass that on to our network team for their feedback, or, could we offer you some compensation for the 3 weeks of no service!!

@PitChris - Unfortunately, like every network we cannot guarantee signal in every corner of the UK, especially in rural areas such as the Scottish coast. Thanks.

Why would this have any impact on my ability to receive the service you quote.

Helps with troubleshooting @TigerlilySandybanks, have you tried any of the guides in:

https://community.idmobile.co.uk/troubleshooting-177

Do you have examples of Postcodes you’re having issues at?

Thanks.

'Sorry to hear this' and 'here is help how to move' are disgusting answers. Shows the level of customer concern  here. Was hoping for, 'this is what we are doing to sort it'

What are iD going to do to resolve this, I will be looking into getting money back and contract terminated under false information.

currently live in the London e4 area and the network for the internet is poor even though the coverage checker shows good coverage in this area. To add this has not just been in my area and over the last 2 weeks since joining ID this is probably the worst network performance for internet usage I’ve ever had. Can anyone provide me with some idea what is wrong or is this just how it is?

im giving it a month on this network and if not better I’m gone!

Hey there @Steviev67, we’re sorry we made you feel this way. My colleague replied with that to offer help as you’d already said you were leaving us at the end of your contract, so was offering assistance with leaving us, as you’d mentioned.

What’s the full postcode you’re having issues in please?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi @Tyler , it is in the Walthamstow and Highams Park area of E4. But to add it’s not just locally it seems to be so many places in London.

Hi @doppers

Okay, taking a look the postcode of E4 9BQ is subject to an outage at this time, Three UK are aware and working on a fix.

E17 3NR and EC4M 8BU aren’t however reporting any issues, are you still having issues here?

Tom
