Hi @Sonam

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with your network, please could you give us a little more information?

Are you having issues everywhere or only certain locations?

Please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you’re having issues?

Tom

Thank you @Sonam.

Is the issue only with data, or calls and texts also?

Thanks,

Tyler

I think you know all things about your network. In my case data is very slow

Hi there @Sonam

For that postcode 3G shows borderline good indoors, probably due to 3G being slowly phased out. 4G is reported to be good indoors and outdoors and 5G is patchy, with this being only good outdoors. Your phone is likely bouncing between 3G and 4G (or if your phone has 5G) and 5G

You could check this yourself by putting your postcode into this:

https://www.three.co.uk/content/experience-fragments/threedigital/uk/en/site/mvno/coverage-checker/idmobile.html

If you’re using an iPhone you could try setting the network to 4G only (noting that in the event of a weak 4G signal, calling the emergency services might need you to select auto as it may want to try calling over 2G).

Hi @Sonam, @Daz_S is correct in saying that 5G is patchy in your area. We’d recommend using 4G when you can for a more stable connection.

All other services are showing as excellent outdoors and good indoors. However, there is a recent network congestion issue that’s been flagged in your area for 4G. The current speeds as of today are registering as less than 5mbps.

How long has this been an issue that you’ve noticed? We tend to recommend around a week to notice an improvement once an outage has been flagged.

Just a request.

And using @Lauren‘s reply for this as it mentions info we, the EU, wouldn’t know.

Being as iD staff can get more detailed information for any given area (when compared to your customers), how’s about having a tab/link on your service status page, that when clicked on we then use our iD mobile number AND postcode (2FA) to stop non iD customers from gaining access, then we are greeted to a brief summary that shows things like known congestion, current speeds, estimated speeds over a given amount of time and more importantly (borrowing O2’s method) a means of registering our numbers so the system tells us when the congestion/fault/4G upgrade/5G roll out are complete.

I know I’d use it and many others would find it handy too.

Hi @Daz_S it’s definitely a worthwhile suggestion. We’d be happy to feed this back internally.

That would be great, thanks.

If it does it does, if it don’t it don’t.
